Innael is the son of Mexican immigrants, a husband, and father. He grew up disconnected from his Indigenous roots but has spent the last 28 years reconnecting with Indigenous world views particularly those in the Americas. He is a licensed mental health professional that has devoted over 13 years of his professional career to provide counseling services. He specializes in assisting individuals that struggle with trauma and substance abuse. Innael holds Master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health and Public Administration. He has 8 years of experience in teaching various mental health topics and training mental health professionals. He resides in New Mexico with his wife and two daughters.

Vera is a Black Navajo mother, partner, organizer, and farmer who moonlights as a media and food system activist. She is a multi-media cultural communications specialist, researcher, and a problem-solver who works to attain more equitable and sustainable systems for communities. Vera researched Women’s/African American/Native American Studies at the University of Minnesota and holds a Mini-MBA in Nonprofit Management from the University of St. Thomas. Vera has spent her life in the margins of white supremacy as a Black Native woman, making her an expert Diversity / Equity / Inclusion Pathfinder.
