SOCIAL EMOTIONAL WELLNESS FOR THE WORK PLACE

The IV Methods go beyond trauma informed care by using psychological tools and

resilience to help avoid vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue.

THE INTENT

The IV Methods go beyond conventional discussions of “trauma-informed care” to offer a more comprehensive method that allows participants the opportunity to heal from their personal experiences of historical and current traumas, while engaging in daily activities such as work and social engagements required for thriving in our society. The program utilizes psychological and emotional tools proven to assist in addressing stress and anxiety and integrates them with core values that promote a balanced autonomous healing experience for the participants. These intentional methods can then be applied to the workplace and at home so that the participants are able to manage their day-to-day lives without internalizing new traumas or experiencing vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue when helping others with their challenges. Participants are given the opportunity to explore their abilities to create and promote a healing experience within themselves and among their community. The desired outcome is that participants will be able to return to their work and continue to support healing within their communities while actively creating a healing experience within themselves.

THE CLIENTS

The IV Methods are tailored to the unique needs of your organization and focus on discussing strategies to avoid vicarious trauma that leads to burnout and build healthy coping mechanisms in the workplace to foster a healthy business aesthetic. As humans, we have a natural and culturally promoted desire to form psychological and emotional connections with others. This natural desire helps us create strong bonds with family and friends. Unfortunately, the same desire can expose us to trauma, vicarious trauma, or burnout when engaged with individuals struggling with unhealthy behaviors including substance abuse, domestic violence, unhealthy relationships, etc.

THE METHODS

The IV Methods can be offered in a variety of formats depending on the level of engagement desired by the participants.
